Personal/kind of heavy topic after the jump
Someone I went to high school with died today. I didn’t know him very well, but my girlfriend did. I used to play baseball with his sister, too. I’ve have family members die, but never someone my age who I went to school with. So yeah, haven’t quite figured out how to respond yet.
Estoril E34 for your time, top pic is what I'm about to be taking pictures of for a friend.

That’s crazy man I’m sorry. I’ve had people my age (21) pass away but it was mostly due to bad choices on their part (drugs).

Yeah, this is the same deal. Seems like a pretty drastic punishment for a not great choice.

You’re right I’m not suggesting it was justified, just that it could be avoidable. Man I’ve done plenty of stupid things in my years and lived to tell the tale out of luck more than anything else. Scary when it actually catches up to someone.

It’s never easy, three of the guys I played football with in high school committed suicide within four years. It’s been a reminder to enjoy life even when it seems like it sucks.

One of my former high-school classmates was killed last fall just a few weeks before our ten-year reunion. He was out running on the shoulder of a road, facing oncoming traffic, when a car veered off the road and struck him. I never knew him very well but here was one of the good guys, as it were, and I got a bit choked up when I heard about what happened. His family and friends, of course, were far more devastated than I was, and my heart breaks for all of them.
